Horror as girl attacked by ‘pitbull’ in park as father ‘had to prise dog off her’

A father fought to free his daughter from the grip of a pitbull-type canine that clamped its jaws on her head, a horrified witness has stated.

The woman, estimated to be round 3-years-old, was enjoying in Mansfield Park, north-east London along with her mother and father and a child in a pram when she was attacked at round 3.15pm on Tuesday.

Law enforcement officials arriving on the scene on prime of the hill seized the canine from the proprietor. The kid was rushed to hospital for therapy the place her accidents had been declared not life-threatening, police stated.

Richard Woodburn, 53, instructed The Impartial: “The canine had come as much as me as I take advantage of the park as a cut-through to go dwelling however I simply ignored it. The proprietor was shouting on the canine to come back again.

“Then I heard him shout louder and louder after which I heard screaming. I ran again up the hill however the canine was already being held down by the proprietor.

“The dad needed to prise the canine off her head. He sustained accidents to his fingers.”
