A New York man allegedly pointed a gun on the head of a 6-year-old boy who had dropped off a Halloween goody bag on the mistaken dwelling and went to retrieve it, police stated.
Michael Yifan Wen, 43, of Manhasset, was arrested and charged with menacing and second-degree endangering the welfare of a kid, Nassau County police stated in a press release.
The incident started Saturday when a mom drove her daughter, two sons and a nephew to the house on Rockcrest Street. Her 10-year-old daughter and 6-year-old son rang the doorbell and dropped off a Halloween goody bag on the porch for the lady’s buddy, police stated.
When the kids returned to the automobile, the lady instructed her mom the deal with might have been incorrect, so that they drove again, and the boy went as much as the porch to get the bag filled with sweet, police stated.
That is when the person opened the door and pointed a handgun on the boy’s head, they stated.
Police later decided it had been the mistaken deal with.
