SC woman charged with shooting, killing her roommate in August

A Beaufort girl has been arrested and charged with capturing and killing her roommate throughout an argument.

Renita Talia Boardman, 37, was charged with homicide and possession of a weapon throughout a violent crime.

In a press release launched Saturday, the Beaufort Police Division says that round 8:15 a.m. on Aug. 19 officers responded to a report of a gunshot wound on the Spanish Hint Residences in Beaufort, close to the Marine Base on Parris Island.

A 37-year-old man was discovered to have been shot within the head, in keeping with the assertion. He was transported to a neighborhood hospital the place he later died.

Police haven’t launched his identify.

The capturing drew a heavy police presence to the realm, the Island Packet reported on the time.

Officers say that their investigation revealed that Boardman and the sufferer, who was her roommate, allegedly argued over property. When the argument escalated, Boardman allegedly shot him.
