Georgia moves to No. 1 ahead of Ohio State

Georgia is the brand new No. 1 group within the Faculty Soccer Playoff rankings.

The Bulldogs’ large 52-17 win over Ole Miss on Saturday evening moved Georgia from No. 2 forward of Ohio State. The Buckeyes dropped to No. 2 regardless of a giant win over Michigan State whereas the remainder of the highest 5 was unchanged with Michigan, Florida State and Washington filling out the opposite three spots.

The Buckeyes had taken the highest spot within the first two units of rankings due to wins over Penn State and Notre Dame. However Georgia now boasts one of the best two wins of any of the 5 undefeated Energy 5 groups with their victories over the Rebels and Missouri over the past two weeks.

Ole Miss dropped from No. 9 to No. 13 after the loss. Missouri moved up 5 spots to No. 9 after a dominating win over Tennessee.

Penn State, in the meantime, is a spot forward of Ole Miss and Notre Dame is at No. 19.
